Along with the development of the CSR concept, derivative concepts
including corporate social innovation (CSI) and creating shared value (CSV) have
emerged, with a distinct focus on sustainability. In this study, a thematic analysis
through a bibliometric study was conducted on the most prominent CSR-related
keywords from 941 scientific articles published in reputable international journals
between 2013 and 2022. Subsequently, a conceptual map pertaining to CSR, CSI, and
CSV concepts in the context of sustainability was developed. The conceptual map
depicts CSR as the main concept encompassing CSI and CSV (since both concepts were
developed from the criticisms and limitations of CSR). The conceptual map shows that
CSR, CSI, and CSV are formed by certain theories, assumptions, and concepts. CSR is
supported by four underlying concepts, i.e., stakeholder theory, legitimacy theory,
Carroll’s pyramid, and the triple bottom line. CSI is built upon the underlying concepts
of strategic innovation and resource-based view (RBV), while CSV is constructed by
the three levels of shared value and social exchange theory. Ultimately, the conceptual
map shows sustainability as the culmination of the CSR, CSI, and CSV concepts. This
study uniquely utilizes bibliometric and thematic analyses to map the relationship
between CSR, CSI, and CSV to sustainability, offering insights for academics and
practitioners seeking to integrate social responsibility with their core business
strategies for sustainability.
Keywords: conceptual map, CSR, CSI, CSV, sustainability
Putu Chris Susanto Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Human Capital Development (JHCD) 2023-12-29 2023-12-29 16 2 18 34 SUPPORTING DOCTORAL RESEARCH DEVELOPING CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK https://jhcd.utem.edu.my/jhcd/article/view/6421
ABSTRACT
This paper provides a critical reflection on how a supervisor supporting doctoral
students developing their conceptual framework. Issues and challenges in this
paper are to instil some values on consideration of the role of conceptual
frameworks in the doctoral research process. Inductive approach and
participatory action research has been used as a methodology and research
design. Research progress report and focus group interview used as a qualitative
data collection technique. Through reflection on the fives authors’ own conceptual
frameworks for their doctoral studies, a pedagogical model has been developed. It
is needs for arrangement between variables and their characteristics, methodology
and epistemology of doctoral research area of study. Finding show, that supervisor
involves as a co-inquiry activities supported the extended abstract thinking
essential at the level of doctoral research. Benefit of the pedagogical model ensure
a conceptually valid research project and will focus the social and educational
activities of the research process. The suggestion is supporting doctoral research
in developing conceptual framework, and values their ideas and theories as a basic
pillar. For instance, food
processing that involves contact with faeces (najis) violates the halal criteria. Halal
food also requires that there is no contamination or impurity at any stage of its
production, storage, cooking, refining, transportation, or handling of raw materials,
in accordance with the Islamic perspective. The aim of this study is to evaluate the
level of awareness and knowledge of halal food among the global consumers. This
study was carried out using quantitative methods, namely through the method of survey
by giving questionnaire forms to 115 respondents. The results of the study were
analyzed descriptively and found that public knowledge of halal food in the global
market is simplistic with a minimum value of 3.7, namely that food that has the
Malaysian halal logo is safe and halal to eat and the establishment of global halal
standards is very necessary to avoid misunderstandings, mistakes, misuse of halal
certificates and losses for entrepreneurs.
Keywords: public knowledge, halal food, global market
Suhaila Sharil Wan Ahsani Fadhilah Wan Mahmud Khairi Hisam Satari Athira Ayuni Asmadi Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Human Capital Development (JHCD) 2023-12-29 2023-12-29 16 2 50 57 KEPERLUAN MENANGANI GAYA PEMBELAJARAN VISUAL, AUDITORI DAN KINESTETIK (VAK) MURID BERKEPERLUAN PENDIDIKAN KHAS DI PROGRAM PENDIDIKAN INKLUSIF SEKOLAH MENENGAH DI MALAYSIA https://jhcd.utem.edu.my/jhcd/article/view/6416
(The Need to Address the Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic Learning Styles (VAK) of Students with Special Education Needs in Inclusive Secondary Education Programs in Malaysia)

ABSTRACT

Mainstream teachers in Malaysia often face problems with the implementation of inclusive education. This happens because mainstream teachers are less exposed to the teaching and learning practices of special education students. This study aims to identify the urgent need to address visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles (VAK) in the context of inclusive education programs for students with special needs in Malaysia. VAK learning style has long been recognized as an important factor in understanding how individuals process and absorb information. For students with special needs, the introduction and use of learning strategies that are compatible with VAK can provide a more effective learning experience and meet the needs of their diverse learning profiles. This research was conducted through a detailed analysis of the conditions and specific needs of students with special needs in the context of inclusive education in Malaysia. This study also involves a comprehensive literature review on the latest theories and practices in accommodating VAK learning styles in the inclusive teaching and learning process. The results of the study show that there is an urgent need to integrate learning strategies that focus on VAK learning styles in inclusive education programs. Teaching that takes into account VAK's preferences is able to improve the process of understanding, appreciating, and presenting information to students with special needs. Therefore, providing resources, training, and support to inclusive teachers and educators to understand and implement VAK strategies is essential. This study provides an important contribution in strengthening the inclusive approach in the Malaysian education system by emphasizing the need to accommodate the diversity of learning styles in the teaching and learning process. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide practical guidance to those involved in the provision of inclusive education for students with special needs in Malaysia.

Keywords: VAK learning style, inclusive education, special education needs students
Mohamad Taha Abol Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Human Capital Development (JHCD) 2023-12-29 2023-12-29 16 2 1 17 DIGITAL LEARNING AND TEACHING TECHNOLOGY IN CURRICULUM PRACTICE IN JIANGXI, CHINA https://jhcd.utem.edu.my/jhcd/article/view/6422
ABSTRACT
This study explores the implementation of digital learning and teaching
technologies in the new curriculum practice in Jiangxi Province, China.
The arrival of digital technologies has transformed traditional
educational practices worldwide, and China has made significant strides
in integrating digital tools and resources into its education system.
Research methodology use is explanatory research design, incorporating
both quantitative and qualitative data collection where sample of teachers
(200) and students (200) from Nanchang Institute of Technology involved.
The quantitative phase involves surveys and assessments to measure the
extent of digital learning and teaching technology. and teacher
effectiveness.
