FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KESEJAHTERAAN KELUARGA HIV/AIDS DI NEGERI TERENGGANU (FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE WELL-BEING OF HIV/AIDS INFLICTED FAMILIES IN TERENGGANU)
Abstract
HIV/AIDS merupakan ancaman penyakit berbahaya di seluruh dunia yang mengancam sistem kekeluargaan hari ini. Saban tahun berlaku perningkatan kadar jangkitan baru HIV/AIDS di setiap negara terutama di negara-negara dunia ketiga. Kekurangan pengetahuan oleh sesetengah masyarakat terhadap penyakit dan bentuk penyebarannya telah menyebabkan keluarga HIV/AIDS menanggung kesan berantai. Tujuan kertas kerja ini ialah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kehidupan keluarga HIV/AIDS. Satu sorotan literatur telah dijalankan untuk mengenal pasti faktor-faktor yang mendatangkan kesan ke atas keluarga HIV/AIDS hari ini. Antaranya, stigma, diksriminasi, ketakutan, peminggiran dari komuniti, pengabaian anak-anak, perubahan peranan ibu bapa, masalah kewangan, pengangguran, tekanan dan rasa kecewa. Kertas ini turut menerangkan pemilihan sampel, teknik pengumpulan data, dapatan kajian, perbincangan dan rumusan. Secara kesimpulannya, diharapkan kertas mengenai HIV/AIDS ini mampu memberi pemahaman dan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat perihal kehidupan keluarga HIV/AIDS di Malaysia, terutama di Negeri Terengganu.

ABSTRACT
HIV/AIDS is a threat of dangerous diseases around the world that threaten family kinship today. Over the years, there has been a rise in the rate of new HIV/AIDS infections in every country, especially in third world countries. Lack of knowledge by some communities against the disease and its spread has caused the HIV/AIDS families to bear the chain effects. The purpose of this paper is to analyze factors affecting the lives of HIV/AIDS families. A literature review has been conducted to identify the factors that affect the HIV/AIDS families today. Among them, stigma, discrimination, fear, marginalization of the community, neglect of children, parental role changes, financial problems, unemployment, stress and frustration. This paper also describes the sample selection, data collection techniques, research findings, discussions and conclusions. In conclusion, it is hoped that this paper on HIV/AIDS is able to provide insight and knowledge to the community about the lives of HIV/AIDS families in Malaysia, especially in the State of Terengganu.
