Abstract
Kajian ini adalah bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap kepuasan kerja dan perkaitannya dengan persepsi terhadap organisasi dalam kalangan Guru Penolong Kanan (GPK) sekolah menengah negeri Melaka. Objektif khusus kajian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perkaitan antara persepsi terhadap polisi organisasi, beban tugas dan kemudahan di tempat kerja dengan kepuasan kerja dewasa ini. Satu set soal selidik dugunakan untuk mengukur aspek-aspek persepsi kepuasan kerja responden yang terdiri daripada 104 orang GPK daripada 57 sekolah menengah di Melaka. Penemuan kajian menunjukkan majoriti GPK merasa puas dengan kerjaya mereka demi mendaulatkan profesion perguruan. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan faktor-faktor organisasi seperti polisi organisasi, beban tugas dan kemudahan di tempat kerjan mempunyai perkaitan signifikan pada tahap kebarangkalian 0.05 dengan kepuasan kerja dalam kalangan GPK. Berdasarkan penemuan kajian, antara cadangan yang dapat dilaksanakan oleh pihak Jabatan Pelajaran dan Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia ialah memberikan penjelasan terhadap polisi organisasi kepada semua GPK dan berusaha untuk memperlengkap pelbagai kemudahan di tempat kerja agar mampu bersaing dalam menjana pembangunan modal insan.

(THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERCEPTION TOWARDS ORGANIZATION AND JOB SATISFACTION AMONG SENIOR ASSISTANTS OF SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN MELAKA )
This study aims to identify the level of job satisfaction and its relevance with the perception towards the organization among the senior secondary teachers (GPK) in secondary schools, Melaka. The specific objective of this study is to determine the relationship between perceptions towards organizational policy, task load, and workplace facility with job satisfaction today. A set of questionnaires was used to measure aspects of job satisfaction consisting of 104 GPK from 57 secondary schools in Melaka. The findings show that majority of GPK are satisfied with their careers to serve the teaching profession. The findings revealed that organizational factors such as organizational policy, task load and facility at the workplace have significant correlation at probability level of 0.05 with job satisfaction among GPK. Based on the findings of the study, some ideas that can be implemented by the Education Department and the Ministry of Education Malaysia are to provide clarification on organizational policy to all GPK and enhance the facility at the workplace in order to compete in generating human capital development.
