Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study aims to identify the implementation of GPI teaching composition integrating KBAT in Islamic education from academic qualification and teaching experience. This study involves Islamic education teachers across the country. High-level thinking components such as different comparative skills, sequencing skills, predictive skills, defining skills and creating anology are seen in three components of teacher teaching composition, beginning, development and teaching cover are selected as a conceptual framework of study. This study uses an inference analysis (through a questionnaire instrument). All data collection instruments were developed by the researchers with modification from the HOTS instrument of the Ministry of Education Malaysia and the experts involved and their contents were confirmed by the expert panel of expertise. The level of Cronbach alpha reliability was high, beginning of teaching (0.7727), teaching development (0.8132) and teaching cover (0.8905) A total of 402 Islamic education teachers were randomly selected to answer the questionnaire instrument. The data in the analysis are inferred using MANOVA analysis. Overall, the implementation of teaching composition that integrates HOTS from the academic aspect shows no significant difference either for teachers with diplomas, undergraduate and undergraduate degrees. However, the aspect of teaching experience shows the difference especially in the development stage). The implications and recommendations suggested to the ministries, schools, teachers and the community to improve the level of practice, especially teachers based on high-level thinking skills (HOTS) as intended in the 2013-2025 Education Development Plan. Keywords: Composition of teaching, academic qualification, KBAT, teaching experience
