KESAN AMALAN LATIHAN KESELAMATAN KEPADA KOMITMEN ORGANISASI DI SEBUAH ORGANISASI PERKILANGAN DI JOHOR BAHRU (THE EFFECT OF SAFETY TRAINING PRACTICES ON ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT AT A MANUFACTURING ORGANIZATION IN JOHOR BAHRU)

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti kesan amalan latihan keselamatan kepada komitmen organisasi pekerja di sebuah organisasi pembuatan wayar di Johor Bahru. Soal selidik digunakan bagi mengumpul data bagi kajian kuantitatif ini. Seramai 120 orang pekerja yang pernah menghadiri latihan keselamatan yang dianjurkan oleh pihak pengurusan telah dipilih sebagai responden dalam kajian ini. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan soal selidik sebagai instrumen kajian dan diedarkan kepada responden. Penganalisaan data di buat dengan menggunakan SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science Windows 20) dan dinyatakan dalam bentuk kekerapan, peratusan, min untuk item-item yang berkaitan dengan amalan latihan keselamatan dan komitmen organisasi. Bagi menguji kesan amalan latihan keselamatan terhadap komitmen organisasi, analisis regresi mudah digunakan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa amalan latihan keselamatan telah memberikan kesan kepada komitmen organisasi di sebuah organisasi pembuatan wayar di Johor Bahru ini (R=0.129,p<0.000). Akhirnya beberapa cadangan telah dikemukan kepada pengkaji akan datang, organisasi dan pekerja di organisasi tersebut.

ABSTRACT

 

The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of safety training practices on employee organizational commitment at a wire making organization in Johor Bahru. Questionnaires are used to collect data for this quantitative study. A total of 120 workers who attended safety training organized by the management were selected as respondents in this study. The data were collected using questionnaire as a study instrument and distributed to respondents. Data analysis is done using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science Windows 20) and is evaluated in terms of frequency, percentage, and min for items related to safety training practices and organizational commitment. In order to test the effect of safety training practices on organizational commitment, regression analysis is used. The results show that the practice of security training has affected the organizational commitment of the wire making organization in Johor Bahru (R = 0.129, p <0.000). Some recommendations are also forwarded for future researchers, organizations and workers in the organization.
