KAJIAN KEPENTINGAN PENGGUNAAN TEKNOLOGI PENGAJARAN UNTUK SUBJEK SEJARAH DAN TAMADUN DI UTeM (Review of using Teaching Technology for History and Civilizational Subjects in UTeM)
Abstract
Kajian ini membincangkan mengenai kepentingan pembaharuan dunia pengajaran dan pembelajaran (P&P) subjek sejarah & tamadun. Usaha ini memerlukan tindakan yang efektif sebagai daya tarikan pembelajaran untuk generasi kini dan masa hadapan (Mohamad Khairi, 2004). Umumnya, elemen pendidikan terkini perlu merubah pandangan pelajar berkaitan subjek sejarah dan tamadun. Suatu pembaharuan dalam teknik P&P diperlukan dalam kaedah penyampaian pengajarannya sama ada diperingkat sekolah mahupun di Institut pengajian tinggi. Kurikulum pengajian sejarah adalah suatu yang perlu disedari boleh menghasilkan individu yang bersemangat nasional yang tinggi serta berjiwa sayangkan negara yang mereka diami. Subjek ini amat diperlukan bagi melahirkan insan yang seimbang dan cemerlang dari aspek jasmani, rohani, emosi, intelek dan sosial. Justeru itu kajian ini akan mengkaji kepentingan subjek ini serta keperluan penggunaan teknologi pengajaran yang bersesuaian dengan keadaan persekitaran. Usahadan perlaksanaanperubahan dan pembaharuan perlu digarap selaras dengan teknologi termaju serta keadaan persekitaran generasi Y dan Z era kini. Kaedah kajian yang digunakan adalah melibatkan soal selidik dan juga kajian perpustakaan. Dijangkakan kajian ini akan memberikan signifikasi penting dalam menghasilkan perubahan kaedah P&P subjek sejarah dan tamadun khususnya kearah kejayaankonsep pembelajaran abad ke 21.

ABSTRACT
This study discusses the importance of reforming the teaching and learning world of history and civilization subjects. This effort requires effective action as a learning attraction for present and future generations. Generally, the current element of education needs to change the views of students on the subject of history and civilization. An innovation in techniques is required in the teaching methodology of either the school or the Institute of higher learning. The curriculum of history studies is a must-see that can produce high-spirited individuals who are highly motivated and passionate about the countries they live in. This subject is needed to produce balanced and brilliant human beings from physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and social aspects. Hence, this study will examine the importance of this subject as well as the need for the use of teaching technology that is appropriate to the environment. Efforts and implementation of change and renewal need to be developed in line with the latest technology and the environment of the current Y and Z generation era. The research method used is questionnaire and also library study. It is expected that this study will provide important significance in producing the teaching and learning method of change of history and civilization especially towards the success of the 21st century learning concept.
